Giovanni di Spagna, beato (1123-1160). Nato ad Almanza, da ragazzo studiò ad Arles, in Francia; si fece certosino a Montrieu; passato nella Gran Certosa, fu accanto a Sant'Antelmo; fondò e governò come primo priore la certosa di Reposoir, in Svizzera. Fu il primo a redigere costituzioni per comunità di monache certosine; infatti è ritratto nell' atto di scrivere, con sullo sfondo in tenue rilievo un gruppo di suore. Il suo culto fu confermato nel 1864 e si ricorda il 25 giugno.

John of Spain, blessed (1123 – 1160). Born in Almanza, as a boy he studied in Arles, in France; he became a Carthusian in Montrieu; in the Great Charterhouse he was beside St. Antelmo; he founded and governed as a prior the Charterhouse of Reposoir, in Switzerland. He was the first to draft constitutions for communities of Carthusian nuns; in fact he is portrayed while writing, with a group of nuns in the background. His cult was confirmed in 1864 and he is remembered on June 25.

Giovanni von Spanien, Seliger (1123-1160). Wird in Almanza geboren, lernte in seiner Jungzeit in Arles, in Frankreich; er machte sich in Montrieu Kartäusermönch, ging in die Große Kartause, wo er neben St. Antelmo war; er gründete und regierte wie erster Prior die Kartause von Reposoir, in der Schweiz. Er war der Erste, der Gründungen für Gemeinschaft von Kartäusernonnen abfasste; er wird im Akt des Schreibens dargestellt und im Hintergrund eine Gruppe von Nonnen. Sein Kult wurde 1864 bestätigt und er wird am 25. Juni erinnert.
