Lanuino, beato, discepolo e compagno di San Bruno, lo seguì in Calabria, dove gli successe come priore della certosa che il Santo aveva fondato in località La Torre, oggi Santa Maria del Bosco, nella diocesi di Squillace, oggi nel comune di Serra San Bruno. Fu nominato visitatore apostolico di tutte le case monastiche della Calabria. Apparteneva alla nobiltà normanna. Era architetto e progettò la certosa di Santo Stefano ed altri edifici dell'Ordine. Lo scultore perciò lo ritrasse con un disegno in mano e sul fondo la località di Santa Maria, primo sito certosino, da un lato, e la Certosa di Santo Stefano, dall'altro. Si festeggia il 14 aprile.

Lanuino, Seliger, Jünger und Kamerad von St. Bruno, er folgte ihm nach Kalabrien, wo er ihm Prior der Kartause wurde, die der St. Bruno im Ort „La Torre“ gegründet hatte, heute „Santa Maria del Bosco“ in der Diözese von Squillace, heute Gemeinde von Serra San Bruno. Er wird am 14. April gefeiert.
